IRVINE HALF MARATHON.
Our bus was super late, so we didn’t end up getting to the race ‘till 7:38. We had about 20 minutes to get our numbers, change, use the restroom, etc. Not only is this a really bad race, but we were late, too?
They changed the course a little this year. You couldn’t really feel the hill on the new part of the course. But this change doesn’t make up for the rest of the course. I hate it because it just goes around in loops, going back & forth and such. And I especially hate how my feet hurt afterwards. Everyone seems to be in so much pain after this specific race, hmm, wonder why. I was thinking that the pavement we run on is pretty lame or everyone tries super hard at this race. I go with the first one. ^.^
The weather was actually perfect. It was really cloudy and fresh. But after the first mile, I got super hot.
My left side started hurting at mile 3. Remembering what I heard in Inception, I kept thinking pain is mental and it stopped hurting until mile 11. I was too tired to think, I just wanted to finish already, so I ran the rest of the race in pain.
PR’d with a time of 1:52! Hopefully I got under 1:50, with the late start and all.
Bus rides there and back were fun surrounded by Amanda, Jason, Enrique, and Andrew. :) We were on the middle school bus, so I told all the kids behind us to be quiet, and we ended up being the loud ones, aha.

After the race, I went to the Burbank Mall with my brother Bryan, and my uncles Bryan & Carlos. (Not the Carlos I live with.) I haven’t seen Bryan since April or Carlos since 2010! It was time for a reunion. :)
It was awkward at first because I didn’t know what to talk about. We had gone to Chipotle and we were eating quietly and yah, lol. After we went to Ikea! At first we pretended to live in all the different places, then we got downstairs to the Marketplace. That’s when we decided to go backwards towards the entrance playing tag! Hahaha, we were annoying the crap outta everyone coming the opposite, and right, direction. We kept bumping into things and running around. Then, we went to YogurtLand. Carlos & Bryan have never been to one! They liked it. C: We went back into the mall into Burlington to play Hide & Seek! After an hour or so, some lady trying to follow us kicked us out. We walked around the mall until we went outside onto the balcony on the third floor. That’s when I saw Enrique, Andrew, and Andrew’s girlfriend about to cross the street! I called out to them and distracted them from crossing the street. :D After that, we just kept walking around the mall, across the street by the movie theater, then back into the mall. When we were coming back into the mall from the theater, we were pretending I was blind! Haha! We went into Sears, and they “forgot” I was being blind and we walked into a big pile of boxes, HAHAHAHA. We found a photo booth and took pictures! :D Bryan and Carlos’s dad called saying he was gonna pick ‘em up soon, so we walked back to where they were dropped off, Ikea! We played tag outside! Bryan & I kept hiding in the same thing of plants and my brother couldn’t find us, lol.
We left before Bryan and Carlos, but we agreed to hang out again. :)
As soon as i came home, I fell asleep. I was so tired from the race, I had only slept for, like, 4 hours, and I didn’t get any sleep on the way to the race or back. Haha, it’s all good though, I had a great day! :)
